Yana Allport runs Easdale! She has more than twelve years of experience as a professional dog trainer and is the owner and training director of K9 Guide Dog Training, which is located on the same property. In that time she has helped hundreds of families and worked with just about every kind of dog, from timid puppies who need time to warm up to reactive dogs who need a patient, experienced handler. Behavior modification is her specialty, and her calm, clear approach helps dogs understand what's expected so they can relax. Her background ranges from family pets to service and detection dogs, and she is a professional member of the IACP and APDT, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and certified in pet first aid!
That experience shapes every stay. When your dog checks in, our trainers get to know them and figure out what will help them feel at home. For some dogs that means quiet one-on-one time. Others are happiest on the nature trail, in the pool, at the ball park, or playing in the Puppy Playground. Shy dogs get the extra support they need, and dogs with energy to burn have plenty to do.
You can also add day training to your dog's stay, so they come home with better manners. Yana and K9G trainers Bethany and Jacob, work with boarding dogs on site on manners, impulse control, confidence building, and scent work games. Yana evaluates every dog on their first training day, so the plan fits your dog. Ask about day training when you book.
